The Remo Brindisi House Museum, at Lido di Spina in the province of Ferrara, is hosting an exhibition of photographs and Adrenalina armchairs until the 30rd September, illustrating the brand’s first curatorial project by Debonademeo Studio ‘Adrenalina Incontra Casa Museo Remo Brindisi’, which was presented during Milan Design Week 2024 at Design Variations’ fuorisalone.

Along the spiral staircase of the Remo Brindisi House Museum – built between 1971 and 1973 from a whish by the artist Remo Brindisi, one of the masters of Italian painting in the second half of the 20th century, and the architect-designer Nanda Vigo, a great friend of his, and conceived from the outset as both house and museum, A series of black and white photographs taken by Mauro Foli depict the iconic seats from Adrenalina’s history, dressed in white to evoke the total white space of the Manifesto House, and bear witness to a journey between art, architecture and design, fused into a single narrative of progress and innovation. In the photographs, as in Remo Brindisi’s works, the human figures are dark silhouettes whose movements, vaguely performative, seem to echo the architectural lines or details of the furnishings.

As Art Director of the Adrenalina brand from 2022, with the precise task of renewing its image and collections, Debonademeo Studio says:

“The choice of the Remo Brindisi House Museum, a fascinating and little-known place, seemed automatic to us to illustrate the upholstered furniture collections of a brand that has dynamism and futurism in its DNA”.

For us, Adrenalina has always been first and foremost an experience to be lived and experienced. Adrenalina was born to be more than just a collection of upholstered furniture. We want to spread the concept of a sartorial and curatorial furnishing element that sometimes becomes cultural, with an identity and precise values. The collaboration with the Debonademeo duo has allowed us to revive this essence and enhance it through new or revisited forms, projects, relationships and explorations, and the meeting with Casa Museo Remo Brindisi is just the first project of this new Adrenalina era”. Valentina Bigiarini – Adrenalina Marketing Manager.

The Adrenalina furnishings that make up the exhibition, including the Nubia armchair, new for 2024 and designed by Debonademeo Studio, the Lov armchair and Atina, iconic products designed by Simone Micheli, alternate with the 1,100 works that make up the permanent collection of the House Museum. Giacomo Balla, Lucio Fontana, Arturo Martini, Giò Pomodoro, to name but a few, and original furnishings by design masters such as Muno Munari, Achille Castiglioni, Pio Manzù, Vico Magistretti, Giò Colombo and Nanda Vigo.
We thank the Municipality of Comacchio and Laura Ruffoni, director of the Remo Brindisi House Museum.
