Bar Adrenalina is not a space to be observed, but to be experienced. A place to move through, inhabit and leave. Here, the public is not an audience, but an active participant in an evolving process.
You are inside Boccascena Caffè at Palazzo Litta: a real, fully operational bar, temporarily emptied and reconfigured according to Adrenalina’s language, under the artistic direction of Debonademeo Studio. A space transformed into an immersive environment, where design is tested in its most authentic context: everyday use.
Here, products are not displayed, but lived. You can sit, work, meet, drink. Sofas accompany different moments of the day—conviviality, pause, concentration—and it is through this use that they reveal their behaviour, their balance, their ability to adapt.
But there is something you cannot see. The interactions that unfold within this space—voices, movements, presences—are captured through a network of microphones distributed throughout the environment and transformed into a sound database. Sound becomes design material.
These frequencies will lead to two developments: an original musical composition and the design of a new Adrenalina sofa, generated from the collective energy of those who pass through this space. The microphones are not here to give something back to you. They are here to listen to the space.

The project is enriched by the contribution of Michele Spanghero, sound and visual artist, who interprets the theme of listening through a site-specific installation. Around you, concrete casts of suspended microphones evoke a paradox: the heaviest and most silent material becomes the symbol of the device that captures sound.
In the Green Room, the artwork Listen! introduces a large neon ear shaped like a question mark. An implicit question: who is really listening? Us, or the space we inhabit?
Bar Adrenalina is an open laboratory. A place where design, people and environment influence one another. Where design is not only form, but relationship, energy and process. And it also happens through your presence.
