WASTE AND RECYCLED MATERIALS COME TO LIFE
AND BECOME ART & DESIGN
CURATOR: ELISABETTA SCANTARBURLO
FROM MAY 10 TO OCTOBER 15, 2018
New and surprising identities from the world of art and design are going to furnish the Nhow MilanoFashion & Design hotel for a period of about six months.
Wasteland is an exhibition dedicated to the use of waste and recycled materials in art and design, and involves works of art and designer products that portray environmental awareness, which, in the case of furnishings, goes beyond a purely aesthetic choice, and also beyond the merely economic one.
Pieces from the MOREBILLOW [designed by Antonio Piciulo] and SIR-PENT [designed by Andrea Stramigioli], launched at the Salone del Mobile in 2018 furnish the common areas of Nhow Milano and are made available to the exhibition visitors: they can be touched and used, and contribute to the project with air purification devices.
Even design focuses on the creation and re-creation of a sustainable world.
